Trimingham to Weybourne
A part of the 'Alfred Savin' project has been to map the cliffs from Trimingham to Weybourne in 3D. You can see the results here. Photography was over several days by Chris Taylor, using high resolution drone imagery which could then be processed into 3D. You can zoom in on the model, rotate it and pan your view; the 'Question Mark' icon at the top right will help you understand the controls on your system.
To change the section of cliff that you are viewing, go to the 'Tileset' menu top left. You can then use the 'Tileset' drop-down menu to choose your section. You'll find elements of this web site beginning to use this imagery or parts of it, to help understand where fossils have been found, how the cliffs are gradually eroding and understanding how the ice age deposited the clays and sands which make up north Norfolk.
The models sit on top of of the Cesium World Terrain model, an international satellite based 3D image. If when viewing your selected model the background doesn't show up, in the 'Tileset' panel, click on 'None' for image, and then click on 'Aerial'.
